looking for science-based information about beverages, their ingredients, and the
role they play in health and active lifestyles.
In addition to our own External Advisory Council
and staff scientists and nutritionists,
we work with recognized nutrition communicators who are members of our Dietitian
Network, as well as leading scientific experts and nutritionists from around the
world and within The Coca-Cola Company itself.
The Beverage Institute's North America Dietitian Network consists of well-respected
nutrition practitioners and communicators who work with The Beverage Institute and
The Coca-Cola Company on the development of a variety of communications projects,
such as educational programs and publications.

A nationally recognized expert in nutrition and fitness, Dr. Liz Applegate is the
director of sports nutrition and a faculty member in the Department of Nutrition

Kim is a culinary-nutrition expert, writer, media spokesperson, and owner of Galeaz
Food & Nutrition Communications based in Indianapolis, Indiana. She consults with
supermarkets, restaurants, agriculture organizations and food and beverage companies
to promote balanced nutrition and active lifestyle messages.
